Usually client's Applications are divided on desktop software applications and web applications. Either has the pros and cons.
The desktop oriented programs, as a rule, are tied to the concrete operating system. They often have impressive sizes and system requirements, and it needs to be installed on the user computer. On the other hand the desktop applications is a nice looking, functional and comfortable interface.
Web applications, are kept on a remote server, thus doesn't require any space on client's hard disk, and even have no possibility to use the data located on the user's computer. Web applications interface usually is less functional. On the other hand web applications are always accessible in the latest version and waive the installation and support, do not depend on a platform and allow selection of any comfortable Internet browser for your work.
